Team Meeting at the Opdahls February 25 from 6:30-8:00!

Oxnard 2nd Place! Two Championships in a Row!

Ok, we have shown for two straight tournaments that we can beat anyone, we can come from behind and win, and we can get out early and win so now we have to finish off the tournaments.

Two straight 2nd place finishes in two straight 9u tournaments is fantastic! We know we can hit, run and score. We know we can a pitch and catch. Now we need to show we can make the easy plays and finish off some championships.

We might play one more one day tournament at the end of January and then probably Presidents weekend in February.

Good luck to everyone at tryouts this weekend let's all make a great showing whether its West Hills, Mid Valley or Sunrise. How great it is that we can build a great team from so many different leagues?

Parents, thank you all for gutting it out at these very cold tournaments over the last month. You all are troopers, and trust me, this summer you will be hoping for some cool weather.

No practice this week. We need to keep on working on the pitching strength and accuarcy so that we can have more pitchers pitching longer.

Chino Hills 2nd Place!

Wow, wow and wow! The team played incredible this weekend. They faught from behind to pull off the first victory and came bats ablazing the next 3 games.

Ok, could there have been some bending the rules or unfair or mishonest addition of the 3 and 4 hitters. Maybe, but we need to always be the better people, parents, fans and coaches. We won't go to those levels. The games are about the boys learning, growing and having fun playing at a much higher level. Regardless of the outcome, they battled and hung in there with Pico Boys 9u All Star Team and could have easily won. A 9-6 loss is nothing to sneeze at when it is 11:00 pm and 3 games in a row.

CHAMPIONSHIP GAME WITHOUT A LOSS IN POOL PLAY OR SEMI'S IN FIRST TRUE 9U TOURNAMENT! WOW, HOW PROUD WE WERE AS COACHES AT THIS TEAM.

Thank you Alex, Dexter and Marc for being there with us because we couldn't have done it without you! Thank you to your parents for sticking it out in the cold cold nights.

Next tournament: January 3-4 Oxnard

I need to know by Weds who is in and who is out! This is our last tournament til Presidents Weekend in February.

Jared, we missed you this weekend and Dexter hope your ankle is doing well!
